Some things can’t be learned in a training environment.

Everyone arrives the same way, from team members to CEOs. What am I doing here? I’ve got too much on. I should be at work, or at home. The guilt about being away is real. I first heard it from a female director as we climbed a hill, and she made me far more alert to the guilt people carry.

Then, somewhere on the trail, it turns. The guilt gives way to quiet. You’re tired, the scenery is stunning, nobody needs anything from you, and the real thoughts start to arrive.

That’s what Into the Wild is for. Not a team-building game. A real challenge, on real ground, with enough space to think.

Most people tell me it’s good to see their team members outside the confines of the office. Out here, nobody has a title to hide behind.

The CEO of Host Plus put it perfectly. He arrived saying, “What am I doing here? I’m too busy. I’ve got too much on.” By the end he called it a very worthwhile experience and rated it 10 out of 10.

My programs run in locations across Australia and abroad.

Great teams rise to a challenge they have not prepared for. What would your team do?
